Ruby in Zoisite Wire Wrapped Pendant

Ruby in Zoisite (color enhanced) pendant wrapped in copper wire. Ruby is a crystal structure that sometimes fuses with other metamorphic stones such as granite and zoisite. One of our favorites is ruby in zoisite, as the contrast between the red crystals of the ruby against the green zoisite is quite stunning and beautiful.

This particular pendant is made from an oval and a round ruby in zoisite that have been heat enhanced to bring out the colors. Since these stones have been artificially color enhanced it is important not to subject them to heat or vibration. This pendant must not be placed in an ultrasonic cleaner, or it will likely ruin the color of the stones. To clean, create a solution of cool or cold water with mild soap, and gently rub with a very soft cloth. Rinse in cool or cold water and then place in an area of gently moving air, such as under a ceiling fan or in front of a floor fan.

Pair this pendant with one of our chain or cord options fitted with magnetic clasps. Be prepared to be spoiled rotten. Magnetic clasps are especially easy to use. To put on, grasp a magnet in each hand, put hand around your neck and allow the magnets to come in close contact so they snap shut. To remove, grasp a magnet in each hand and then gently pull apart. Be careful not to pull apart by the cord, otherwise it’s possible to damage the cord or the findings that connect the magnets to the cord.
