Ruby in Granite Wire Wrapped Pendant

Gorgeous triangular shaped ruby in granite stone, tastefully wrapped in silver filled wire. Ruby is a crystal structure that sometimes fuses with other metamorphic stones such as granite and zoisite. This particular stone is dark granite with lots of ruby crystals showing on the exposed surfaces of the stone. The flecks of ruby and white stone give this granite a gorgeous look and the tarnish resistant silver filled wire wrapping sets it off beautifully. This is a substantial stone, fairly heavy and quite beautiful. The bail opening is very large making it easy to change chains any time you want a different look. This stone rates very high on the Moh’s hardness scale and that makes it easy to clean without worries of damaging the stone. Do not put this into an ultrasonic cleaner as stones that have inclusions can be severely damaged in the heat and extreme vibration taht occurs in these cleaning units. To clean, please remove the chain or cord. Then, using a soft cloth dipped in a warm, sudsy solution of mild soap, rub all over, including the wire. Be very careful of cleaning woven wires as they can be delicate and it’s possible to bend them out of shape if great care is not taken. After washing, rinse well in cool to lukewarm water, then allow to dry in an area with good air flow, such as under a ceiling fan or in front of a floor fan.
